The Virginia D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) Association is a non-profit organization serving as a resource to the community and certified D.A.R.E. Law Enforcement Officers throughout the state of Virginia. The Virginia D.A.R.E. Association is dedicated to the prevention of adolescent substance abuse, accomplished through the instruction of a curriculum model which addresses values, decision making skills, self esteem, peer pressure, conflict resolution, gang and violence avoidance, and respect for the law.
