Deputy Matthew Hughes
Matthew was hired by the Hanover County Sheriff’s Office in 2006. He then had twelve years on Patrol before joining the Youth Services Unit. Matthew will serve as Vice President until the School Conference in 2023 when he will then become President of VA D.A.R.E. Matthew has been teaching D.A.R.E. since 2019 and became a D.A.R.E. Mentor in 2022.
